Foundation stone laid for new LWB building

Yesterday, with more than 80 guests, the LWB laid the foundation stone for a large residential complex with an integrated day care center at Bernhard-Göring-Straße 17. The municipal company is building for the first time with funding from the Free State. Most of the apartments in the quarter of five houses are reserved for people with a residence permit from the city of Leipzig.

Also close to the centre are two other large LWB construction sites where apartments are being built with subsidies from the Free State of Saxony. The next projects are in preparation.
State Premier Michael Kretschmer also assured the Free State's financial support for the future: "We will ensure that housing is built for people with lower incomes. According to Leipzig's building mayor Dorothee Dubrau, the support programme should not only be continued, but the sums should also be increased.
